Who can use this feature?

  • Room Hosts

  • Pro and Business

  • Desktop and Laptop (currently not available on mobile devices)

Recording is available in paid plans for all of your licensed users. It's perfect for keeping a record of your meetings, or for sharing the meeting with people that couldn't attend!

Note

  • At the moment, Recording is only available in Chrome and Chromium browsers on a desktop or laptop. It is not available on mobile devices.

  • It's only possible to record a Chrome tab only, and this is automatically selected. There isn't an option to select the entire screen or an app window.

  • When recording a meeting while using the YouTube integration, any audio from the YouTube video will not be captured in the recording. If you need to capture audio from the video you're viewing in the Whereby recording, we recommend sharing your screen with audio.

  • For legacy users: Currently, it is only possible to remove an add-on at the end of your billing cycle. If you wish to remove an add-on outside this period, please drop an email to support@whereby.com, and we will take care of it for you!

Recording allows you to do the following:

  • Easily record meetings
    You can record your meetings with the push of a button and the file is automatically downloaded for later use!

  • Share your recordings
    Send a quick email to your remote employees, or post it in your preferred communication tool for later viewing.

  • Ensure security of your recordings
    Recordings are only stored locally in your browser cache, and never leave your device! Only the person that originally created the recording will have recordings automatically downloaded to their device.
