Who can use this feature?
Room Owners and Participants
Pro and Business plan
Desktop, mobile browser, and iOS app users
File sharing allows any session participant to exchange small files with other participants during the meeting through the chat. These files will be available for download throughout the session, making it easier to collaborate and share resources in real-time.
Supported file types
The following file types can be uploaded:
Images: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP
Documents: PDF, DOCX, TXT, RTF, CSV, XLSX
Audio: MP3, WAV
Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM
Maximum file size
An individual file cannot exceed 15MB, which is sufficient for most documents and media while maintaining optimal session performance.
Restrictions and Limitations
Files can be shared only when there are 2 or more participants in the session.
Once the video session concludes, all shared files will be removed from Whereby's infrastructure.
